
The documentary film “Jesus Camp (Grady and Heidi 2006) is based on a summer camp held for children who follow the Evangelical Christian faith. It employs a variety of formal devices including representation,sound, composition, editing, space and music to position itself as non-fiction, which ultimately affects its significance and impact on the viewer.
This is a good documentary film and it cannot be replaced by other forms of style. It uses a lot of information, artistic expression, recording and other functions into one. Film unique perspective, simple images, good technology and vivid make film becomes more real, satisfying and nature. Because the documentary film is tells the true story is taking place. It is the objective existence of an objective in life. Documentary film is the creator of the real characters, real events and real environmental records. But it will not be a true to work on art, artists. In the film, the director use the sound, Mise-en-Scene, editing and Composition to make the film to be the non-fiction film. But the documentary film is not the completely real story. In the Jesus camp, it use the camera record the real life about the little kids living under of the Jesus in American. It is a group of the really life about the christen kid living way in America. From the film and television, this film is a successful non-fiction film.
